Huber Markus

About

Huber Markus traces back to 1648 in Reichersdorf, in Austria's Traisental region. Markus Huber took over the 10th-generation winery in 2000 with four hectares. Within a year came Lower Austrian Wine Champion and Regional Winner honors. By 2006, the program earned Best White Wine Producer at International Wine Challenge London. His brother Michael joined in 2009. The cellar focuses on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, with the Ried Berg parcels producing notable bottles. All vineyards converted to organic certification in 2019. The work now reaches more than 40 nations. Markus was named Falstaff Winemaker of the Year in 2015.
