About Glacial Till Vineyard
Six acres in Otoe County, southeast of Lincoln. Mike Murman planted the first vines in spring 2003, then spent thirty years making wine in his basement before the vineyard became bonded in 2008 and officially established in 2009. The program grows nine varieties across the property. Frontenac, Chambourcin, St. Vincent, Marquette, Vignole, Seyval Blanc, Lacrosse, Traminette, and Edelweiss anchor the cellar. When frost devastated the 2016 harvest, Murman pivoted to hard cider, sourcing apple juice from Kimmel Orchards. The work now spans wine and cider, with a tasting room and Cider House in Ashland.
