About Geografico
Seventeen grape growers founded Geografico in 1961, establishing what is now a cooperative of 170 members working across approximately 550 hectares in Toscana. The program spans two cellars, one in San Gimignano and another in Gaiole, anchored by Contessa di Radda, a prestigious vineyard dating to the 1500s. The work centers on Sangiovese and Vernaccia. Chianti Classico DOCG comes from 160 hectares in southern Chianti Classico territory. Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG draws from 165 hectares. Vernaccia DOCG is produced from approximately 60 hectares around San Gimignano. More than 400 hectares are registered in Denomination of Origin production registers. A tasting room is available.
