About
Gattinger sits in Weißenkirchen in der Wachau, a family-run operation founded by Adolf and Krimhilde Gattinger. Adolf spent 44 years as cellar master at Josef Jamek before establishing the house. The program spans 4.5 hectares, nearly 80 percent of them on hillsides terraced in historic stone. The work moves across white wines, rosé, and reds, all classified under the Vinea Wachau system using Steinfeder, Federspiel, and Smaragd. A tasting room is available.
