About
Elkin Creek Vineyards overlooks The Big Elkin Creek and the century-old Elkin Creek Mill. Four lush acres of Merlot, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon comprise the vineyards. Founded in 2001, the house bottled its first vintage in the fall of 2005. Wines are crafted in European-inspired styles. Chardonel 2022 ages in French oak in Burgundy style. Chardonnay 2023 ferments and ages in stainless steel in French Chablis style. Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is made from hand-tended vines and aged in French oak barrels. Vin Doux 2015 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged three years in French oak and fortified with brandy to 18% ABV. Wines range in price from $20 to $36. Creek-side cabins are available for lodging.
