East Grove Farms, LLC

About

East Grove Farms, established in June 1837, holds the distinction of being Iowa's Oldest Continuously Settled Farm, a recognition conferred during the state's Sesquicentennial in 1996. The farm grows elderberries, aronia berries, wine grapes, apples, peaches, and plums. The commercial elderberry selection called 'East Grove' was discovered on the property. The manufacturing facility closed in August 2025, and the farm no longer operates a licensed winery. A picnic area remains available to visitors.
