Draughtsmen Aleworks in Goleta makes wine across red, rosé, and white, each with distinct character. The White arrives medium-to-full-bodied and neutral oak-aged, pear and vanilla threading through. The Rosé is bright, crisp, dry, with berry aromas. The Red runs full-bodied with firm ripe tannins, dark berry and leather, tobacco and spice in the finish. Half Bottle formats offer the White crisp and weighty with ripe citrus and stone fruit, and a Syrah smooth and supple with blackberry and red currant. The program also includes Mad Hat Cider at 5.5% ABV in rotating flavors. The tasting room opens to a back patio with a stage for live music, hosting 20 to 200 people. A loft space overlooks the brewery and accommodates up to 50. Additional locations operate in Santa Barbara and Solvang.
