Dominikaner Weingut C. von Nell-Breuning has worked the slate steep slopes of the Mosel and Ruwer since 1670. Dr. Carmen von Nell-Breuning carries the winemaking tradition into its 11th generation, tending vineyards by hand. The program discontinued herbicides in 2013, then adopted biodynamic viticulture in 2019. As the first Demeter-certified winery on the Ruwer as of 2023, the house produces Riesling, Spätburgunder, and Pinot Rosé.
