Domaine Fortier opened in 2018 in Catoctin Valley, between the Short Hill and Furnace Mountains in Lovettsville. The Fortiers purchased the property and hired industry experts to assess the terroir. Kent Arendt and Nate Walsh are the winemakers. The portfolio spans Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Tannat, Chardonnay, and Petit Manseng, made in small lots by hand. The 2017 Cabernet Franc Reserve scored 92 points from James Suckling. The 2021 White Merlot earned 90 points. The winery is dog friendly and offers outdoor seating.
