Elliot Stern founded Divot Enterprises in Oakville, where Marie-Laure Ammons leads winemaking. Ammons arrived in California in 1998 after years in Bordeaux and Burgundy, including posts at Domaine Lejeune in Pommard, Chateau de Pressac Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, and Dulong Negociant. Since the 2003 harvest, she has worked alongside Philippe Melka. Sara Gott consults, bringing experience from Joseph Phelps and Quintessa. The program centers on Cabernet Sauvignon from micro-vineyards, each parcel harvested individually with multiple pickings. Soils derive from decomposed core stones of the collapsed Vaca Mountain.
