Johannes Gruber took over his family's vineyard in Mittelberg near Langenlois in 2002, inheriting land his grandparents had tended. The vineyard sits at approximately 400 meters elevation in the Kamptal, roughly 80 kilometers from Vienna, with primordial rock and loam soils. Gruber farms organically, harvesting grapes by hand. The program centers on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.
