About

Three generations of Herndlers work together in Schiltern. Thomas, Alexandra, and Lukas produce Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Rotburger, and Gelber Muskateller. The winery is NACHHALTIG AUSTRIA certified. Recent recognition includes a Wine of the Year award for the Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben 2022 at the Linz Old Town Festival, and consistent high marks from Falstaff Magazin across the portfolio. The wein.pur Guide 2026 notes the winery for particularly varietal and region-typical wines. Gelber Muskateller earned a Gold Seal at the state wine competition. Rotburger 2023 was selected as the red Garser Festival wine for 2025.
