Clos du Moulin aux Moines traces back to 962, when monks of Cluny Abbey founded the vineyard. For over six centuries, the Citeaux Abbey held authority over it. Today, sixteen hectares span twenty appellations across the Côte de Beaune, between Auxey-Duresses and Meursault. The Clos parcel itself is a Monopole, owned entirely by the estate. Since 2008, Willy Roulendes has directed the work under organic and biodynamic principles. Michael Schwab joined in 2020. All grapes are harvested by hand in small crates. The vineyard appears in the UNESCO World Heritage nomination for Burgundy Climats.
