About Château Lanessan

Château Lanessan sits in Cussac-Fort-Médoc as one of Bordeaux's oldest family properties, held by the Bouteiller family across eight generations. The neo-classical château with Tudor-inspired detail was designed by architect Henri Duphot. It overlooks an 8-hectare English-style park. The estate spans more than 350 hectares, with 85 devoted to vineyards. The horseshoe-shaped stables, built in 1880 by André Delbos, house a horse museum that draws 8,000 visitors annually. The collection includes roughly ten Belle Epoque horse-drawn carriages.
