About Château Haut-Bages Libéral
Thirty hectares in Pauillac, where argilo-calcareous soils meet deep gravel on the Bages plateau. Château Haut-Bages Libéral was founded in 1855 and classified Grand Cru that same year. The program blends 70% Cabernet Sauvignon with 30% Merlot. The house holds Bio and Biodynamic certifications and is a pioneer in regenerative agriculture in Pauillac. The 2022 vintage aged 16 months across new oak, one-year-old barrels, and concrete ovoidal vats and amphorae, earning 96-97/100 from James Suckling. The 2020 received 97/100 from the same critic.
