Château Cantemerle

About Château Cantemerle

Classified Grand Cru in 1855, Château Cantemerle spans 98 hectares of vineyard across a 200-hectare estate in Macau, with forest, park, and meadows on the property. The program draws on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Since 2021, Laure Canu has directed the house. A newly inaugurated winery opened in 2025 with 114 stainless steel vats. The grand vin ages twelve months in French oak, 35% new, then assembles and clarifies in tank for four months before bottling. The barrel cellar sits underground, naturally temperature-controlled through a geothermal loop powered by estate pond water.
