About Chateau Renaissance, Inc.
Patrice DeMay established Chateau Renaissance in 1990 at the Southern tip of Keuka Lake, near Hammondsport. His family migrated from France in the 1970s, having previously run DeMay-Gremy Wine Cellars in Vouvray. The house works with New York State grapes to produce Brut Champagne, red wine, and fruit wine using Methode Champenoise, the hand-crafted method developed in France in 1638. The 2001 New York State Brut Champagne earned a Gold Medal and 91 points at the Grand Harvest Awards. Complimentary tastings are offered year round, seven days a week. The cellar welcomes groups and requests advance notice for parties of twenty or more.
