Perched on a dramatic terrace above the Kawarau River Gorge in Central Otago, this winery specializes in premium Pinot Noir alongside Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gewürztraminer. The site has serious history, originally settled by the Chard family back in the 1860s when it fed hungry miners. Founded in 1987 with the winery built in 1993, they now process fruit from multiple vineyard sites across the region.
