Champagne GH Martel & Co

About

Christophe Rapeneau stewards a family business four generations deep, with the Rapeneau family present in Champagne for over a century. The vineyard sprawls across 64 villages, certified Haute Valeur Environnementale level 3. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir form the program, blended in expressions like the Cuvée Golden Eagle, 60 percent Chardonnay and 40 percent Pinot Noir. The house ages in crayères, chalk cellars excavated between the 4th and 15th centuries. These underground galleries earned UNESCO World Heritage classification in 2015. Vineyard tours and tastings available.
