About

Chamard Vineyards began in 1983 on a 40-acre property two miles north of Long Island Sound in Clinton. Twenty acres of established vines are tended by hand in the European tradition, yielding Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Pinot Noir. The mission is to produce French-inspired wines from the Connecticut shoreline. Annual production reaches 10,000 cases. Among the Connecticut Wine Trails' longest-standing members, the estate includes Pas Place, a waterfront cafe open daily from 8am to 3pm.
