Cantina del Pino

About Cantina del Pino

Cantina del Pino began in 1997, when Renato and Franca took over vineyards the Vacca family had tended since the 1920s, after Giuseppe Vacca acquired the property from Domizio Cavazza. Renato trained at the Royal Enological School in Alba and spent five years at Produttori del Barbaresco before establishing the cantina. Franca joined in 2013. The vineyards cluster around Ovello hill, where soils blend limestone with sandy veins and high calcium content. The program focuses on Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. Barbaresco and Barbaresco Ovello, both 100% Nebbiolo, age for two years in oak and one year in bottle. Barbaresco Albesani completes the portfolio.
