About Candialle
Candialle is located at the southern tip of the Conca d'oro, just below Panzano in Chianti, across 35 hectares of which 11.5 are planted. The vineyard sits between 300 and 360 metres, with Galestro soil and a slight amount of Albarese limestone. Sangiovese comprises 9.4 hectares of the program, joined by smaller plantings of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malvasia Nera, and Canaiolo. Vine density ranges from 5,000 to 10,000 per hectare, trained across Alberello, Cordone Speronato, and Archetto systems. The estate is part of the Unione di Panzano, a collective of 20 independent growers who have collaborated since the 1990s.
