About
Brandl Christoph traces back to 1209, when Stift Lilienfeld established it as an economic estate in Ziersdorf. Family ownership arrived in the 18th century. The shift to wine came in 1993, when the estate committed fully to the cellar. Today the program centers on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. The portfolio includes Weinviertel DAC expressions across Klassisch and Kräftig styles, a Reserve Selektion, and single-vineyard work like Vom Löss and Luftikus. Since 2024, a Riesling has aged in a 1150-liter granite barrel. The cellar avoids copper and sulfur, relying instead on manual defoliation and compressed air. A newly opened tasting room in Radlbrunn sits above the historic original cellar.
