About Badia di Morrona
A monastery founded in 1089 by Ugo dei Cadolingi, Badia di Morrona sits on 600 hectares in Terricciola. Benedictine Cluniac monks first tended the abbey, followed by Camaldolese monks. Today the property produces Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Canaiolo, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Vermentino across distinct vineyard blocks. Vigna Disperato spreads over 10 hectares planted predominantly with Syrah. N'Antìa comprises 6 hectares of clay and travertine soils. VignaAlta covers 8.5 hectares with south-facing exposure. The portfolio includes Taneto, N'Antìa, VignaAlta, Chianti I Sodi del Paretaio, Chianti I Sodi del Paretaio Riserva, and Felciaio. A modern, sustainably designed cellar and new olive oil mill anchor the work.
