Along the Colorado River at the base of the Grand Mesa on Colorado's western slope, Avant Vineyards produces estate-grown wines under winemaker Diane Guard and vineyard manager Neil Guard. The program centers on unexpected blends. Montage pairs Viognier and Roussanne. Rosso di Montagna Unica marries Teroldego and Sangiovese. A Cabernet Sauvignon-Sangiovese blend anchors the portfolio. The house also produces Blanc de Noir via méthode champenoise and Proprietor's Reserve Red Pétillant Naturel, a Bordeaux blend. The tasting room opens Fridays through Sundays from May through September, with Saturday hours extending through April. Tastings are available by appointment Monday through Thursday.
