Aurelio Settimo

About

Aurelio Settimo was founded in 1953 in Piemonte, where Tiziana and Davide now lead the program. The house produces only red wines with DOC and DOCG certifications, working across 5.67 hectares of Nebbiolo da Barolo and 0.97 hectares of Dolcetto d'Alba. Of those Nebbiolo plantings, 3.42 hectares sit in the Rocche dell'Annunziata cru. The cellar produces approximately 40,000 bottles annually, with a maximum of 14,000 bottles of Barolo DOCG, 24,000 of Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata, and 8,000 of Dolcetto d'Alba. Long maceration, frequent remontage and punch-down define the Barolo work, followed by aging in oak barrels of 2,500 to 3,500 liters. Cellar visits and tastings are by reservation only.
