About Albatross Ridge
Twenty-five acres at 1,250 feet in Marina, where Garrett Bowlus tends twelve distinctive blocks planted to six Burgundian clones. Four Pinot Noir, two Chardonnay. The soils are ancient uplifted marine seabed, diatomaceous and shale. Hand-farmed with organic and sustainable practices, the vineyard receives as many as a dozen pruning passes each vintage, yielding less than two tons per acre. Founded in 2008, the program focuses on Estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, alongside Rosé and Beyond the Ridge. Tasting rooms in Carmel-by-the-Sea and Downtown Monterey.
