About Hambacher Schloß Kellerei eG
Founded in 1902, Hambacher Schloß Kellerei eG operates as one of Germany's oldest wine cooperatives, now the smallest independent cooperative in the Pfalz. A collective of approximately 100 members tends roughly 50 hectares of vineyard across the region. The program spans over 60 wines and sparkling wines, from Chardonnay and Grauburgunder to Spätburgunder and Cabernet Dorsa, alongside barrel-aged expressions like Cabernet Mitos and Merlot. The house also produces Cuvée Siebenpfeiffer and Cuvée Castanella. The cooperative has operated from the former Lichtenberger estate house, built in 1847, acquired in 1902 for 20,000 gold marks. The collection has earned recognition including a DLG award for Best Collection Dry Red Wine.
