About Weingut Probsthof

Weingut Probsthof tends 11 hectares across six villages in Haardt, Neustadt, Gimmeldingen, Mussbach, Wachenheim and Forst. The work follows KUW environmental standards. Grapes arrive by selective hand harvest, pressed whole and gently to minimize sediment and bitter substances. Cooled fermentation preserves aroma. Juwel, a rare variety in the Pfalz, is bottled here alone. The house also produces Gelber Muskateller Sekt via traditional Champagne method. Tastings unfold in the tasting room, which holds up to 30, or the press house for groups to 100. Guided presentations cover the Pfalz, Neustadt, and winemaking. Palatinate delicacies including Saumagen, Leberknödel, Spießbraten or Vesper accompany tastings. The estate grows and sells seasonal fruit including almonds, figs, kiwis, mulberries and chestnuts.
