About Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler

Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler works three vineyard sites in Bernkastel-Kues, along the Mosel. Bernkasteler Schlossberg, Bernkasteler Badstube at roughly six hectares, and Alte Badstube am Doctorberg at approximately 1.8 hectares make up the estate's holdings. The latter is the only new individual vineyard site registered since German Wine Law reformed in 1971. The house produces Riesling across the spectrum, from Kabinett through Auslese to Trockenbeerenauslese. Selective hand-harvesting feeds the cellar. Fermentation happens at controlled low temperatures in small stainless steel tanks.
