About Kees-Kieren
Kees-Kieren has been growing Riesling on the steep slopes of the Middle Mosel since 1724. The vineyard work spans 26 kilometers across gradients that reach 70 percent. Late, selective hand harvest is used in several harvest processes. Ernst-Josef Kees, Werner Kees, and Niklas Kees work together in the cellar. Ernst-Josef Kees completed an apprenticeship as a winemaker and graduated from the technical school in Bad Kreuznach. Werner Kees completed an apprenticeship as a winemaker and is responsible for vineyard management. Niklas Kees completed a master's degree in industrial engineering at TU Darmstadt and studied at the University of Applied Sciences Geisenheim. Fermentation happens in stainless steel tanks of no more than 2000 liters. The estate offers a vinotheque and guestrooms in Graach.
