Weingut Jesuitenhof, Klaus Schneider

About

Winemaking at Jesuitenhof traces to 1803, though Andrea and Klaus Schneider founded the winery in its current form in 1986. Twenty-five hectares of vineyards are managed in and around Dirmstein, anchored by the Jesuitenhofgarten vineyard, a family-owned plot enclosed by old monastery walls in the town center. Moritz Schneider completed a degree in winemaking and oenology in 2011 and contributes to a portfolio of whites, reds, rosé, and sparkling wine. The winery holds FAIR'N GREEN certification and belongs to Forum Pfalz, Generation Pfalz, and Generation Riesling. Klaus Schneider has served as president of the German Wine Association since 2017. Wines have earned recognition from Gault Millau, Eichelman, and Meininger's Rotweinpreis.
