About Weingut Goseck Pfeifer & Frick
Weingut Goseck Pfeifer & Frick sits on the Igelsberg, a south-facing steep slope above the Saale river, where red Buntsandstein soil anchors the vines. Founded in 1995, the winery began replanting in 1998. Vineyard work is done exclusively by hand, from tending to harvest. For more than a quarter century, wild herbs have grown as ground cover, and sheep graze select areas. The cellar runs on Weinkelter 4.0, a modern press facility with digital process control. The program centers on Dornfelder, Riesling, and Weißburgunder. A wine bar and vacation apartment are available on site.
