Weingut Herzer

About Weingut Herzer

Stephan Herzer established this winery in 1992 in Roßbach, in the Saale-Unstrut region. The program centers on Riesling, Weißer Burgunder, and Portugieser from four vineyard parcels. Riesling comes from Großjenaer Blütengrund and Dorndorfer Rappental. The Weißer Burgunder Muschelkalk and Portugieser from Dorndorfer Rappental, aged six months in old barrique, anchor the portfolio. Federweißer rounds it out. The winery hosts moderated tastings for groups of 15 to 40 by appointment, open Monday through Friday 8 to 17, Saturday 10 to 14. A 65-square-meter vacation apartment accommodates two persons, with capacity for up to four, at 45 euros per person per night.
