About SAN MICHELE Az. Agr. s.s.
Founded in 1973 by arciprete don Giuseppe Cogno and three local viticulturists, San Michele Az. Agr. operates six hectares across the crus Gallina, Cottà, Gaia and Albesani in Neive. The program, now managed by Cogno Achille, Lessio Renato, Nebiolo Alessandro, and Cavallo Claudio, produces only DOCG and DOC wines. Barbaresco DOCG, Moscato d'Asti DOCG, Roero Arneis DOCG, Barbera d'Alba DOC, Dolcetto d'Alba DOC, and Langhe Nebbiolo DOC form the portfolio, made at approximately 60,000 bottles annually. The cellar relocated in 2013 while the original address remains the sales point. The vineyard work employs integrated pest management, with Arneis parcels located in Roero, on the left side of the Tanaro river.
