Ökologisches Weingut Wedekind began in 2005 on Roter Hang in Nierstein. Ten hectares of vineyard, certified organic through Ecovin since 2008. The program centers on Riesling, alongside a Sparkling Cabernet Blanc. The Vinothek opened at Nierstein market square in 2017, earning the Rheinhessen AUSGEZEICHNET seal by 2020. The house also convenes Oktober Tour Nierstein, gathering seven local winemakers for a shared harvest event.
