About Ziegler Jacques

René Ziegler took over the family vineyard in Orschwihr in 1966. The vineyards sit across three distinct sites, Bollenberg among them, a Natura 2000 protected area with its own Mediterranean microclimate. Grand Cru Pfingstberg and Lippelsberg round out the portfolio. Since 1972, the house has practiced organic agriculture, using inter-row grass cover and reusable stainless steel clips to tie vines. The work centers on Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Auxerrois, with notable expressions including Crémant, Pinot Gris nature, Pinot Gris Vendanges tardives, Gewurztraminer Prestige, Pinot Noir nature, and Fumant de la Sorcière. Visits by appointment.
