World's End

About

World's End Wine is located in Napa Valley and was founded by Jonathan Maltus, who has a diverse international background in winemaking. After initially acquiring vineyards in Australia, he shifted his focus to Napa Valley in 2008, collaborating with grower Andy Beckstoffer to source premium fruit. The winery primarily produces Cabernet Sauvignon, showcasing various vineyard sites, including notable Beckstoffer vineyards like Georges III and To Kalon.

The name "World's End" pays homage to the Chelsea district in London where Maltus lived. The winery's wines are creatively named after classic Rock & Roll songs, reflecting Maltus's musical influences. Notable offerings include the 2014 Rocksteady, a unique red blend, and the 2014 Crossfire Cabernet Sauvignon, both of which feature complex flavor profiles and balanced tannins.

Initially, wines were produced at Miocene Winery and later at Miner Family Winery, with current production at Shadybrook Winery in Coombsville. Tastings at World's End are available by appointment, allowing visitors to experience their select vintages. The winery has expanded its vineyard holdings significantly since its inception, now encompassing around 60 hectares across various sites.
