Vinera Wines was founded in 1999 in Lodi, building on a lineage stretching back over 65 years, when Van Ruiten family vineyards supplied grapes to other producers. The estate vineyards benefit from cool afternoon breezes off the San Joaquin Delta. The program centers on Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Chardonnay, including an Old Vine Zinfandel and a Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz blend. The tasting room in Lodi opens daily from 11 am to 5 pm. Proost, the wine club, ships four times yearly in March, June, September, and December.
