Founded in 1946 by Fred Vieth and Jim Riddell, Vie-del Company operates from Fresno and Kingsburg as a family-owned enterprise operated by the Nury family. Mike Nury joined as a research chemist in 1953 after graduating from U.C. Davis with a Master's Degree. Dianne S. Nury was appointed President in 1990. The company is the largest woman-owned bulk winery, distiller, and fruit juice processor in the United States. The operation produces bulk grape juice concentrate, brandy, high proof spirits, and wine, supplying MegaNatural High-Color Concentrates, Mega Purple, and Mega Red to the industry. Certified by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, the company also includes Vie-Del Equipment Sales, offering winery and food processing equipment.
