About Umani Ronchi
Gino Umani Ronchi founded the house in 1957 in Marche. Today Massimo Bernetti and Michele Bernetti lead the program across 210 hectares of organically farmed vineyards in Marche and 35 hectares at Centovie in Roseto degli Abruzzi, acquired in 2001. By 2015, the entire portfolio had converted to organic certification. Pelago won the International Wine Challenge in London and was named Best Red Wine in the World in 1994. Verdicchio Vecchie Vigne 2009 took Italian White Wine of the Year from Gambero Rosso in 2012. Wine Spectator ranked the house among Italy's 34 best wineries in 2020. In Abruzzo, the cellar produces Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Pecorino.
