About Travaglini
Travaglini was founded in 1958 in Gattinara, Piemonte, though the family has been cultivating and producing wine in the region since the 19th century. Giancarlo Travaglini leads the house today, stewarding 59 hectares of vineyard on hills at the foot of Monterosa. The soil contains porphyry, granite, and iron. Seven distinct expressions of Nebbiolo come from the cellar, anchored by Gattinara D.O.C.G., Gattinara Tre Vigne D.O.C.G., and Gattinara Riserva D.O.C.G., alongside Nebbiolo Coste della Sesia D.O.C., the sparkling Nebolé Metodo Classico, Il Sogno crafted from overripe grapes, and Cinzia. A distinctive bottle shape was patented by Giancarlo in 1958. The tasting room welcomes visitors, and vineyard tours are available. The wines are distributed in over 46 countries.
