About
Toreli Winery is a small family cellar in the village of Saguramo, just north of Tbilisi in the Mtskheta area, founded in 2021 by brothers Givi and Nika Javakhishvili. It makes natural qvevri wine in limited quantity, up to roughly 10,000 bottles a year, fermenting and ageing on skins in buried clay vessels, with Saperavi sourced from Khashmi in Kakheti among its bottlings. The cellar receives visitors for tastings alongside traditional Georgian food, and sells wine on site.
