Peter Tonti's path to winemaking began in the 1940s, watching his father, an Italian immigrant, make wine. Tonti Family Wines is located in the Russian River Appellation, where Old Vine Zinfandel dominates the vineyard, planted in the early 1900s, alongside smaller blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon. The program centers on these two varietals. Tonti has announced his impending retirement. The tasting room is located at 9086 Windsor Road in Windsor, where tastings are $25 per person for non-members, complimentary for Wine Club members and up to three guests.
