About The Storm Cellar Winery and Vineyard

Jayme and Steve, both sommeliers, founded The Storm Cellar in 2017 in the West Elks AVA near Hotchkiss. The tasting room sits 500 feet above the North Fork Valley. The program focuses on white and rosé wines, drawing from classic European varieties and cold-hardy hybrids suited to Colorado's climate. Thursday through Sunday, noon to seven, through November 1. Friday nights from May 22 through October 30, Mediterranean small plates arrive at four. The house was named Colorado Winery of the Year in 2023 by the Colorado Association for Viticulture and Enology.
