The Brothers Avaliani Wine Cellar

About

The Brothers Avaliani wine cellar is a family marani in the village of Dandalo, Keda municipality, in the mountainous interior of Adjara along the Batumi-Akhaltsikhe road. It pours the western-Georgian varieties Chkhaveri, Tsolikauri, Tsitska and Krakhuna, and receives visitors for tastings and for hands-on grape picking and pressing at harvest. Alongside the family cellar the brothers built a grape processing facility in Keda municipality in 2023 with GEL 500,000 of state co-financing through the Rural Development Agency, and now make ten different wines sold locally under the 'Avaliani Brothers' brand.
