About Tenuta CastelGiocondo

A medieval castello built in 1100, Tenuta CastelGiocondo sits southwest of Montalcino at 300 meters, where Sangiovese thrives in Brunello territory. Among the first four properties to begin Brunello di Montalcino production in the 1800s, the estate is owned by Marchesi Frescobaldi. The program spans Ripe al Convento, Lamaione, CastelGiocondo, and Campo ai Sassi, alongside grappa. Seven exclusive rooms occupy the medieval village itself. A small spa overlooks the Brunello vineyards.
