About Tagwerker
Open Monday to Saturday, 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Herrnbaumgarten sits in the northeastern Weinviertel, and this is where three generations of the Tagwerker family have worked the vineyards of Johannesbergen, Altenbergen and Hödeln. Twenty eight hectares, planted to Grüner Veltliner, Gelber Muskateller, Gemischter Satz, Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Riesling, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zweigelt. Karl and Karoline Tagwerker took the estate from grape producer to quality wine bottler. Markus Tagwerker has run the business since 2010, alongside an organic arable farming operation. Irene Tagwerker manages sales, marketing and administration. Karl stayed on through 2024, lending decades of vineyard experience to the next generation. Red wines mature in stainless steel tank. The portfolio includes a sparkling wine, Tagträumer.
