Summerwind Vineyard, LLC

About

Summerwind Vineyard sits on a strip of land between the James and Pagan Rivers in the Day's Point area of Isle of Wight County. Founded in 2005 and operated by the Pugh family, the vineyard produces Chardonnay, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, and Petit Manseng. Tormentor's Red, a Meritage-style blend of 50% Merlot, 33% Petit Verdot, and 17% Cabernet Franc, aged 21 months in French and neutral oak, anchors the portfolio alongside Rosé of the Isle and Warwick Squeak, a sparkling rosé made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Merlot and Petit Verdot each spend 16 months in French oak. Visitors can build their own Pick 5 Wine Flight from 15 options, catch live music every Friday evening from April through October at 6 PM, or take advantage of Board & Bottle Fridays with 10% off charcuterie and wine or sangria purchased together. Thursday brings 25% off Sangria Carafes.
