Schmidt

About

Schmidt was founded in 1953 in Hagenbrunn, in Austria's Weinviertel. The family opened a small wine tavern in their home during the 1960s, then moved it to Schloßgasse 39 in 1972. Franz and his wife Barbara took over in 1985. Philipp Schmidt is the winemaker, producing wines like the Weinviertel DAC Bisamberg 2025. The tavern, led by Johanna and Lilly since June 2022, operates seasonally. Guest rooms are available.
